Jorge Alberto Martinez, Sr., 61, of Beaumont, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on October 12, 1953, in Morelos, Coahuila, Mexico, to Juanita De Hoyos Martinez and Jesus Martinez. Jorge worked many years in the construction industry. He was a pipefitter at Ratliff Industries in Lumberton.

Jorge is survived by his wife, Gloria Martinez; children, Jorge Martinez, Jr. and his wife, Felicia; Fernando Martinez and his wife, Virginia; Gloria Guillory and her husband, Michael, all of Beaumont; brother, Jesus Martinez, of San Antonio; sisters, Magdalena De Hoyos of Mexico; Martha Castro of Uvalde; Dolores Valdez; Blanca Valdez, both of San Antonio; Rosa Laura Martinez; and Lourdes Martinez, both of Monterrey, Mexico; and grandchildren, Joaquin Martinez, Alejandra Martinez, and Nicolas Martinez.

A gathering of Mr. Martinez’s family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
