John L. “Larry” French, 54, of Lumberton, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on October 26, 1960, to Lois Lavonne Kuehl and Donald Lee French, in Beaumont. Larry was retired as a brick mason for Brick Layers Local #5.

Survivors include his son, John L. French II of Kountze; daughter, Liene Emery and her husband, Hazen, of Kountze; grandchildren, Trace French, Laiken Emery, Hudson Emery, Sarah Emery, and Hayden Emery; sister, Debra Maxwell and her husband, Howard, of Beaumont; brother, Reggie French and his wife, Cheryl, of Groves; and nieces and nephews, Chris and Donnie French, Justice and Cheyanne French, and James, Stephen, Rebekah, and Elisabeth Maxwell.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lee Jay French, Donnie French, and Carl Duane French; and one sister, Leandre French.

A gathering of Mr. French’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2015, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
