Mary Jane Laughlin, 93, of Beaumont, passed away March 19, 2015.  Mary Jane was born on August 12, 1921, in Jennings, Louisiana, to Lewis Laughlin and Arita Ducharme Laughlin. Mary Jane moved to Port Arthur, Texas, in 1935, with her family where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1939.

Mary Jane spent her working career as a bookkeeper and worked many years for White Gas Company and Dryden’s Department Store. Mary Jane moved to Beaumont in 2003 to be closer to family.

She is survived by her sister, Hilda Rusche and eight nieces and nephews. Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Johnson. 

A gathering of Miss Laughlin’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3900 Twin City Highway, Groves.
