Foye Johnston, 80, of Kountze, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Pine Arbor, Silsbee. He was born on April 21, 1934, in Apple Springs, to Velma Lee Ishmael Johnston and Laverne “Bull” Johnston. Foye was a United States Army veteran and retired roustabout.

Survivors include his children, Mary Riggs and Billy Johnston, both of Cleveland, Shelia Johnson of Big Spring, Linda Turner of Christine, and Brenda Avila of Statesville, North Carolina; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Maudine Burrows; Carolyn Brown and her husband, Jacky; and Prentice Johnston, all of Kountze; Laverne Glover and her husband, Esker, of Silsbee; Charlotte Brown and her husband, Don, of Saratoga; and H.D. Johnston and his wife, Beth, of Wells.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Robert Lee Johnston.

A gathering of Mr. Johnston’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 13 2015, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
