Theresa Dora Bonnette, 83, of Port Neches, died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born on July 27, 1931, in Port Arthur, to Hannah Theriot and Virgil Anderson, and had been a long time resident of the area.

Theresa was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School. She was raised on the Anderson family dairy farm. Theresa was active with St. Elizabeth Catholic Church as the secretary and a member of Altar Society. She even polished the brass and sang in the church choir.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Alfred Bonnette of Port Neches; children, Roger Bonnette and his wife, Debbie, of Groves; James Bonnette and his wife, Marvie, of LaBelle; Timothy Bonnette of Nederland; Lawrence Bonnette and his wife, Krissy, of Missouri City; Anthony Bonnette of Nederland; Catherine Austin of Nederland; Alfreda Page of Port Neches; Belinda Eulitt and her husband, John, of West Minot, Maine; and Mary Fischer and her husband, Kirwyn, of Porter; twenty grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Bonnette; three brothers; and three sisters.

A gathering of Mrs. Bonnette’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall Street, Port Neches. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
