Charles L. “Buddy” Colton, 79, of Kountze, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015.  He was born on August 28, 1935, in Noble, Louisiana, to Elizabeth Kegley Colton and Louis P. “Tinker”Colton.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Wilma Sue Colton; son, Mike Colton and his wife, Felecia; daughter, Suzanne Prine and her husband, Ernest; sons, David Colton and his wife, Janine and Paul Colton and his wife, Penny; grandchildren, Heather and Harrell Sharkey, Carley Colton, Alexander Colton, Dallas and Jessica Colton, Caleb Colton and Karli Cain, Jessica Sue Colton, Caitlin Colton, and Seth Colton; great-grandchildren, Anna, Emma, and Cole Sharkey, and Aria Colton; brother, Woodrow Colton and his wife, Myrle; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Gene Stratton and his wife, Judie and James Stratton and his wife, Kathy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Verna and J.P. Stratton; sisters, Ophelia Colton Sanders Harger, Elsie Colton Creel Roberts, and Lucille Colton Parker; and son-in-law, Richard Earl Perkins.

A gathering of Mr. Colton’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
