Elizabeth de la Peña Mendoza, 64, of Fannett, Texas, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on April 6, 1950, to Maria Ignacio de la Peña and Felizardo de la Peña, in the Philippines. Elizabeth enjoyed watching television, Facebooking, and traveling. She was the kindest person her husband had ever met.

 Survivors include her husband, Manuel Mendoza; children, Manuel Mendoza, Jr. and Ricaflor Mendoza Rowley and her husband, Zachary, both of Beaumont; granddaughter, Taylor Elizabeth Rowley of Beaumont; brothers, Rogelio de la Peña and his wife, Susana; and sisters, Perlita Mercado and her husband, Aniano and Juileta Gallegos and her husband, Winifredo.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of Mrs. Mendoza’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 4:00 p.m. and her funeral service to follow at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A reception will be held at the King Palace Buffett, 4328 Dowlen Road, Beaumont, following her service. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
