Robert Chaney “Bob” Parks, 81, of Port Neches, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015. He was born on June 18, 1933, in Chester, to Mary Amanda Whitehead and Andrew Guy Parks.

Bob retired from Texaco after thirty-nine years of service as a Lab Technician. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bob loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Parks of Port Neches; sons, Bob Parks and his wife, Lea Ann, of Port Neches and Kenneth Parks and his wife, Theresa, of Kountze; grandchildren, Robby Parks, Benjamin Parks, Kayla Simmons and her husband, Thomas, Lindsay Hashaw and her husband, Matthew, Shawna Hensarling and her husband, Jeff, and Ashley Parks; eleven great-grandchildren; and sister, Sue Bedwell and her husband, James, of Nederland.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Parks; grandson, Alex Parks; and brothers, Allen Parks, Joe Parks, and Jimmy Parks.

A gathering of Mr. Parks’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Chester.
