Doris McKewen, 90, of Beaumont, died Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont.  She was born on March 23, 1924, in Huntington, to Lilly Chamblee Nerren and Jim Clint Nerren. Doris retired from the White House Clothing Store after many years of employment.

She is survived by her children, Michael McKewen and his wife, Lavelle, of Vidor; Stephen McKewen and his wife, Audrey, of Houston; and Tim McKewen and his wife, Teri, of Spring; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Jean Webster.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. McKewen; brother, Mason Nerren; sister, Charlene; and grandchild, Eric McKewen.

A gathering of Mrs. McKewen’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Broussard’s, with her graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m., at Odd Fellow Cemetery, Huntington.
