Betty Tanton Pixley, 67, of Vidor, died Friday, February 13, 2015.  She was born on November 5, 1947, in Loeb, to Edith Schneider Tanton and William Jack Tanton, Sr.

Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy Dobbins and her husband, Lucky, of Silsbee and Joe Ann Zavala and her husband, Scott, of Vidor; son, Donald M. Haynes of Vidor;

six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, William Jack Tanton, Jr. of Kountze; and sisters, Rachel of Fred, Elane Henderson of Lufkin, Janice McKeown of Silsbee, and Linda Smith of Vidor.   She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Raymond David Haynes, Jr.

A gathering of Mrs. Pixley’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2015, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Broussard’s.  Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
