Daniel W. Jordan, Jr., 89, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He was born on April 14, 1925, in East Orange, New Jersey, to Catherine Anne Ritter and Daniel William Jordan, Sr.

Dan was a veteran, having served in both World War II and the Korean War. He spent many years as a lector at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, and retired from the State of Texas in 2000. 

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Jordan.

Dan is survived by seven of eight children, Daniel W. Jordan III, PhD; Colonel USAF retired of Kansas City, Missouri; Charles Jordan, of Chicago, Illinois; Adelina Jordan, of Austin; Catherine Jordan, of Beaumont; Joseph Jordan of Beaumont; Madeline Jordan, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Mary Jordan-Engels, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  He was blessed with twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A Funeral Mass for Mr. Jordan will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.  A private committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.  He will be in-niched at Houston National Cemetery, at a later date.
