Christopher “Chris” Per Bach, 62, of Kountze, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 9, 2015.  He was born on January 5, 1953, in Galveston, to Dolores Reed Bach and Per Iskow Bach, and had lived in Kountze most of his life.  He worked as a diesel mechanic.  There was nothing this man could not fix.  Chris also had a passion for fast cars and he loved the beach, but most of all Chris loved his wife, Subreana, his children, step children and their spouses, and all his twenty-three grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Subreana Bach; children, Christopher Per Bach, Jr. and his wife, Candys, of Kountze; Danny Bach and his wife, Tabatha, of Nederland; Ivan Bach and his wife, Jamie, of Jasper; Ingrid Courts and her husband, Steven, of Kountze; and Kristie Bach of Kountze; twenty-three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; step children, Dustin Curry and his wife, Megan, of San Antonio and Desiree and Dottie Curry, both of Mesquite; brothers, Roald Bach and his wife, Elizabeth, of Vidor; Daniel Bach and his wife, Sandy, of Lumberton; and Gary Bach of Kountze. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Bach’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
