James W. Manos, 80, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.  He was born on September 21, 1934, to Katherine Birkes and Clyde Manos, in Maysville, Oklahoma. James was a retired maintenance manager with Ameripol-Synpol.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Wilma Manos; daughter, Marcia Koenig and her husband, Lowell, of Lexington; sons, Michael Manos of Beaumont and Mark Manos; grandchildren, Mandy Blackmon and her husband, Aaron, of League City; Audrey Akins and her husband, Jared, of Anchorage, Alaska; Adam Koenig of League City; Jordan Koenig of Houston; and Zachery Parker and Zoey Parker, both of Vidor; and great-grandchildren, Kinleigh Blackmon and Elissa Blackmon, both of League City.

James is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and daughter, Melinda Parker.

A gathering of Mr. Manos’ family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Broussard’s. A graveside service will be 3:30 p.m., at Conroe Memorial Cemetery, 1600 Porter Road, Conroe.
