John Dewey Brumley, Jr. 
December 29, 1928 - January 29, 2015

 

John Dewey Brumley, Jr., 86, of Silsbee, died Thursday, January 29, 2015.  He was born on December 29, 1928, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to Tressie James Brumley and John Dewey Brumley, Sr.  Mr. Brumley owned and operated Brumley Logging.

 

 

 

Survivors include daughter, Gayle McClusky and her husband, Reverend Kevin McClusky, of Silsbee; sons, Bert Carpenter and his wife, Martha, Silsbee and Ron Carpenter of Kountze; grandchildren, Matt McClusky and his wife, Courtney, of Lumberton; Andrew McClusky and his fiancée, Brittany, of Silsbee; Cody Carpenter and his wife, Alicia, of Margate, Florida; Christy Baldwin and her husband, Parker, of Cameron; Kim Soileau and her husband, Lee, of Lumberton; and Bridget Graf of Beaumont; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Kirkendall and her husband, Kenneth, of Lumberton.

 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Norma Jean Davis Brumley and Lucie Jean Belt Brumley; and sisters, Estha Lee Dalme and Elverso Raggio.

 

 

The family would like to give special thanks to Mr. Brumley’s caregivers; Sharon Welch, Jean Bertrand, Sharon Kent, Lori Spence, Cody West, and Texas Home Health Hospice.

 

A gathering of Mr. Brumley’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
