Bernard E. Morris, 72, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015.  He was born on August 27, 1942, in Pasadena, to Annie Mae Peace Morris and I.V. Morris.  Bernard retired from the Texas Forest Service.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; children, Pam Holland and her husband, Roger, of Silsbee; Elizabeth Robinson and her husband, David and Jeanne Colley and her husband, Red, all of Woodville; and Allan Armstrong and his wife, Sheila, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Amanda Chapman and her husband, Jeremy and Ben Holland, all of Silsbee; Brandon Hooks of Spurger; Quentin Hooks and his wife, Lacey, of Woodville; Kristen Hooks of Beaumont; Ashley Robinson of Arkansas; Ashlea Jordan and her husband, Pee Wee, of Silsbee; Shane Armstrong and his wife, Marissa, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and Brittanie Armstrong and Jacob Armstrong both of Silsbee; great-grandchildren, Justin and Derek Chapman, Trace and Bo Jordan, Hunter and Tanner Armstrong, Jaylynn and Sophia Hooks, Kylie Hooks, Miranda Colley, and Seth Chauvin; sister, Clara Mae and Johnny Reese; brothers, Bob Morris and his wife, Peggy; Jarrell Morris and his wife, Carolyn; and Jerry Morris and his wife, Janice.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Mr. Morris’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Broussard’s with his interment to follow at Fellowship Cemetery, Warren.
