Effie Elizabeth Miles, 80, of Beaumont, died Monday, January 5, 2015, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born to Odean Carr and Merriman Heiman, on June 3, 1934.

Survivors include her son, Paul “Butch” Miles, Jr. and his wife, Roxie, of Lindale; grandchildren, Carey Birchfield, Joshua Miles, and Amy Miles; and great-grandchildren, Braxton, Brayden, and Harlee.

A gathering of Mrs. Miles’ family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, at North End Baptist Church, 5115 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
