Billy Ray Casey, 81, of Menard, died Thursday, January 1, 2015. He was born August 7, 1933, in Florence, Texas to Naomi Guentzel and James Harold Casey.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Bernice Casey; children, Tony and Mary Casey and their children Meg, Jo, and Wade, of Lewisville; Keith and Rilla Casey and his children, Christopher, Jonathan, and Benjamin of Sour Lake; Cary and Rose Casey and their children Hannah and Trent of Fort Worth; Rick and Ruth Casey and their children Matthew, Andrew, and Elizabeth of Dallas; and thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Laverne Callaway, Margaret Goodwin; brother Johnny Casey.

He is preceded in death by sisters, Dessie Green, Joanna Mae Casey Goodwin, Dorothy Aaron; brother, Jesse Casey.

A gathering of Mr. Casey’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
