Paulina Mary Rizzato 
September 23, 1937 - January 3, 2015

Paulina Mary Rizzato, 77, of Beaumont, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born on September 23, 1937, to Emilia Gertrude Losack and William Walter Akers, Sr. Paulina graduated from St. Anthony’s High School. She worked as an Insurance Secretary and after retirement enjoyed traveling and taking care of her grandchildren. Paulina was an amazing wife and mother and loved spending time with friends and family.

 

Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Joseph A Rizzato; daughters, JoAnn Ledet and Cathey Dupuis, both of Beaumont; brothers, Eugene Akers and his wife, Geneva, of Beaumont; Bill Akers and his wife, Martha, of Dallas; and Jimmy Akers and his wife, Claudene, of Crockett; and grandchildren, Eric Swarthout of Little Cypress; Chad Dupuis of Beaumont; Shelli Dupuis of Dallas; and Chris Ledet of Austin.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Amelia Akers; and son-in-law, Keith Dupuis.

 

A Rosary for Mrs. Rizzato will be recited at 5:00 p.m. with her gathering to follow until 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
