Debi McRoberts-Armbruster 
August 6, 1961 - January 1, 2015

Deborah “Debi” Lou McRoberts, 53, of Lumberton, Texas, formerly of the Panama Canal Zone, died Thursday January 1, 2015.

 

Debi grew up on the banks of the Panama Canal in the town of Gamboa, and she was a 1979 graduate of Balboa High School.

 

After moving to Lumberton in 1988, Debi opened Lumberton Firearms and Archery which later became Lumberton Specialties. Through her business she contributed to many community activities and sporting events.

 

Debi was passionate about the outdoors. She enjoyed kayaking, boat racing, hunting, fishing, and cheering on her two boys in their many activities.

 

She is survived by her two sons, Callan J. Burgess and his wife, Codi and S. Garrett McRoberts; her grandchildren, Bentley McRoberts and Greyson Burgess; mother and father, Jean and Edwin Armbruster; and three sisters, Margie Speight, Judy Haisten, and Connie Dermody.

 

A memorial service for Ms. McRoberts will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday January 7, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
