Patricia Eppes 
April 15, 1952 - December 31, 2014

Patricia Eppes, 62, of Silsbee, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 31, 2014, in Silsbee, Texas. A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, she was born on April 15, 1952, to Patsy Peebles Eppes and Ross Eppes.

 

She was a graduate of Silsbee High School and McNeese University with honors. Patricia was a lifelong Methodist and member of First United Methodist Church, Silsbee. For years she was a Superintendent with Arco Oil. Patricia also served as Deputy with Hardin County and with Orange County Sheriff Departments. She owned a trained drug and cadaver dog, Sandor, and worked many hours in drug interdiction.

 

Patricia was very active with Hardin County Crime Stoppers and the 100 Club. She worked for two years at Kountze Independent School District. Patricia was an avid golfer and won numerous tournaments.

 

She is survived by her mother, Patsy Eppes of Silsbee; brother, Steve Eppes and his wife, Lisa, of Kountze; nephews, Alex Eppes of Bakersfield, California, Bryan Eppes and his wife, Amanda, of Lumberton, Hunter Eppes and his wife, Jenifer, of Beaumont, and Jacob Eppes and Kacie, of Kountze; niece, Leigh Eppes of Kountze; great-nephews, Landon Eppes, Lucas Eppes, and Grayson Eppes.

 

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Ross Eppes.

 

A gathering of Miss Eppes’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, 670 North 5th Street, Silsbee, with her interment to follow at 2:00 p.m., at Peebles Cemetery, Livingston.

 

The family request that Patricia be honored by donations to Guide Dogs of Texas, 1503 Allena Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78213.
