Patrick Noble Beard, 59, of Sour Lake, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was born on September 23, 1955, to Opal Quarles and Charles Beard, in Beaumont. Patrick and his wife, Belinda resided in Countrywood Estates in Sour Lake.

He attended college at Lamar University, where he earned a electrical engineering degree.  Patrick was employed by Fonar Corporation of Melville, New York. He had a love for nature and outdoors and enjoyed both boating and canoeing. Patrick was an excellent swimmer and was an Eagle Scout. Patrick loved life and was always helping someone in need.

He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Belinda Milligan Beard; mother, Opal N. Beard, of Pinewood; aunt, Tessie Quarles Alvarez, of Fannett; three girls (his loving labrador dogs); brothers, James Beard and his wife, Peggy, of East McKeesport, Pennsylvania; Michael Beard and his wife, Candace, of Baytown; Daniel Beard and his wife, Pam, of Beaumont; Charles Daniel of Beaumont; Timothy and his wife, Elaine, of Pinewood; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, whom he adore very much.    

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles N. Beard, Jr.; and his niece, Kalika Beard.

A gathering of Mr. Beard’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., January 5, 2014, at Broussard’s with the interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
