Harriet "Beth" Elizabeth Davis 
February 20, 1947 - December 14, 2014

Harriet “Beth” Elizabeth Davis, 67, of Sour Lake, died Sunday, December 14, 2014. A lifelong resident of Sour Lake, she was born on February 20, 1947, to Gertrude Elsie Cobb and Edgar Ernest Johnson. Beth worked for Gulf States Utilities as a secretary. She later worked at Great Guns Inc. and over time becoming a co-owner. She was an active member of the BYKOTA class at her church.

Beth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, traveling with her husband, and attending the BYKOTA Sunday school class. Some of her favorite activities included water aerobics and women’s club.  Beth was a people person who never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with friends and family.

Survivors include her husband of forty-five years, Wayne Davis; sons, Toby Davis and his wife, Wendy and Tracy Davis and his wife, Jennifer; sisters, Lois Radley and Beverly Logsdon, all of Sour Lake; brothers, Ollie Johnson of Sante Fe, Texas, and James Johnson of Sour Lake; and grandchildren, Madison Davis and Trenton Davis, both of Sour Lake, Morgan Davis, Carley Davis, Collin Davis, and Grayson Davis, all of Montgomery.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lillie Mae Jacobson and Alma Janice; and one brother, Ernest Johnson.

A gathering of Mrs. Davis’ family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 765 6th Street, Sour Lake, with her interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake.
