Jerry Lee Polk, 78, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Baptist Hospital. He was born on January 20, 1936, in Singleton, to Ruthie Moseley Polk and James Luther Polk. Jerry was retired from the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Nichols; son, Daniel Mascret; stepchildren, Gwen Cahanin, Wanda Grimes, and Phillip Williams; sisters, Pat Desormeaux and Jessie Merriman; several grandchildren; and other family and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Idella Polk.

A gathering of Mr. Polk’s family and friends will begin at 10:30 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His graveside service will follow at 2:15 p.m., at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston.
