Robert "Bob" Lee, Sr. 
July 14, 1924 - December 9, 2014

Robert “Bob” B. Lee, Sr., 90, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Christus Hospital- St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.  He was the son of Homer and Ida May Lee, was born July 14, 1924, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He attended grade school at Crockett Elementary School, Zundelwitz Junior High School, Wichita Falls Senior High School, Schreiner Institute in Kerrville, Texas, receiving a Junior College AA Degree. He received a BBA Degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Lee was a United States Army veteran of World War II, was twice wounded in action in the European Theatere of Operations and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in Company D. 357th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division. After being discharged he was a partner in the Melida Drilling Company in Wichita Falls.  

He married Willian Holland of Beaumont and they were the parents of Robert B. Lee, Jr. of Beaumont and David H. Lee of Tyler. They are the grandparents of Medea Lee, Mara Lee, David Lee, Jr., and Matthew Lee.

Mr. Lee had been a partner in Melida Drilling Company, owner of M&L Supply Company of Wichita Falls, and President of Holland Advertising Company of Beaumont. Mr. Lee also served as Chairman the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, President of Outdoor Advertising Association of Texas, and Chairman of Board of Trinity United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Willian “Bill” Holland Lee; brothers, Homer Lee, Jr.; Travis Lee; and Quincy J. Lee.

A gathering of Mr. Lee’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2014, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison Avenue, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
