Daniel Alan Greene, 57, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on March 8, 1957, in Beaumont, to Frances Scott Greene and Dr. William Leonard Greene, M.D., and had been a longtime resident of the area. Daniel was a man of not many words, but very intelligent and a giving person. He loved fishing, gardening, and helping others around the neighborhood.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Greene of Port Arthur; mother, Frances Greene of Beaumont; granddaughters, Alyssa Tremont and Alexis Tremont, both of Port Arthur; brothers, Dennis Greene and his wife, Patty, of Fannett and John Greene of Hemphill; sisters, Patricia Greene of Beaumont and Shelia Henderson of Ranger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Dr. William Leonard Greene, M.D.; brother, William Leonard Greene, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Larry Henderson.

A gathering of Mr. Greene’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Mr. Greene would like for friends to send cards or letters in remembrance of Daniel, to Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont 77713.
