Scott Carson Cook
February 5, 1959 - December 9, 2014

Scott Carson Cook, 55, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on February 5, 1959, to Bonna Lee Dubois Cook and William C. Cook. Scott owned and operated Scott C. Cook and Associates.

Scott graduated from Forest Park High School and attained his undergraduate degree in Business from The University of Texas in Austin. He will forever be a very loyal Longhorn fan.

As a youth he enjoyed athletics, excelling in football, baseball and swimming. Scott's very best role was that of father to Carson and Lilly Kathryn. He was their biggest supporter of whatever activity in which they were involved. He enjoyed coaching as well as cheering from the sidelines. We will all fondly remember the great lengths he went to in order to see Lilly's last basketball game. Scott loved his children with all his heart and was a terrific father.

Scott was an active Real Estate Appraiser for more than thirty-two years. He served in several capacities of the Sabine Area Society of Real Estate Appraisers, including President.

Scott enjoyed traveling with his family to Hawaii in the summers and skiing in Colorado in the winters. He always enjoyed being with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Genie Sells Cook; son, Carson Sells Cook; daughter, Lilly Kathryn Cook; and father, Bill Cook, all of Beaumont; and brothers, Burnell Cook and his wife, Joanie, of Beaumont and Carlton Cook and his wife, Kathy, of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews.
