Jessica Elora Purkey, 26, of Brookeland, died Monday, December 8, 2014.  She was born on September 16, 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Darlene King Purkey and Gene Hunter Purkey. 

Survivors include her father, Gene Purkey and his wife, Kathy, of Buna; mother, Darlene King-Crawford and her husband, Richard, of Brookeland; brother, Hunter Purkey of Lumberton; sister, Mackey Purkey of California; grandmother, Gwen Ealand and her husband, Pumpkin, of Jasper; step-siblings, Bianca Hennefer and her husband, William, of California and Jacey Purkey of Austin; step-brother, Jake Wheeler of Buna; niece, Angelina Hiscutt of California; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A gathering of Jessica’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
