William Alderson “Bill” Thomas, Sr., 83, of Beaumont, died Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on April 8, 1931, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Frances Callaway Thomas and John Thomas, and had been a longtime resident of the area. Bill was a United States Navy veteran having served in the Korean War. He retired as a safety and health coordinator from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after thirty-two years of employment.

Bill is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Orlie Thomas of Beaumont; sons, William Alderson Thomas, Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Magnolia and Phillip Kerry Thomas of Dallas; grandchildren, William Alderson Thomas III and Olivia Michelle Thomas; and special companion and cat, Missy.

A gathering of Mr. Thomas’ family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
