Vincent Joseph Canizaro, Sr., 93, of Beaumont, died Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on January 3, 1921, to Anna Giaratano and Joe N. Canizaro. Vincent was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force.

Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Mary Jo Canizaro; son, Vincent Canizaro, Jr. and his wife, Renee, of Houston; daughter, Jodie Patnod of League City; sisters, Angela Balsamo and JoAnne Saleme, both of Beaumont; grandchild, Brittany Gentry and her husband, Joshua, of Houston; and great-grandchildren, Shelby Gentry, Jakob Gentry, and Jared Gentry.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Nuncy Canizaro; and one sister, Beatrice LaRocca.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Harbor Hospice for the care and compassion they showed during his time there.

A Rosary for Mr. Canizaro will be recited at 6:00 p.m. with his gathering to follow until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 8, 2014, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont.
