Kathleen Millicent Shipp died peacefully November 24, 2014, her 92nd birthday. Born in Canada, Kathleen moved to Texas at an early age. She lived all over the state from the Panhandle to the Gulf Coast, from the Hill Country to the East Texas Piney Woods. She resided in Beaumont for the past five years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon K. Shipp, Sr.; her parents, Lewis and Katherine Matlock; and her brother, Gerald. She is survived by her children, Judy Hawkins and her husband, Lynn; Kenny Shipp and his wife, Ola; Brady Shipp; Tammy McCutchen and her husband, Tem; and Jeanne Haralson and her husband, Mark; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
