David Michael Ciampo, age 69, passed away at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont, on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

Born August 14, 1945, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Eileen Elizabeth Judkins and Vito Michael Ciampo, he graduated from St. Bonaventure University. Dave served in the US Army and was a soldier in the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant.  In October 1983, he married Christina Ruth Bellair.

Dave lived in Beaumont, Texas, and worked as the Comptroller at the Beaumont Housing Authority.  He was also a member of St. Jude’s Thaddeus.

Dave spent his free time with his family.  His hobbies included car shopping, making people laugh, enjoying chocolate dessert, and watching sports.  He left a lasting impact on everyone he met and was always smiling or laughing.

He is survived by his wife, Christina Ciampo; daughter, Stephanie Ciampo and her husband, Will; son, Evan Ciampo and his wife, Sheridan; and brother, James Ciampo and his wife, Cindy.

David is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Mr. Ciampo’s memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with his gathering to follow at Beaumont Housing Authority Central Office, 1890 Laurel Street, Beaumont (corner of Laurel and N. 2nd Street). His cremation was handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
