Herbert "Herb" Edgar Ballance III passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014. He was born on December 14, 1961, in Stockton, California. Herb enjoyed cooking and worked many years in food service. He worked many years beginning at Luby's and ending up as the chef at Patrizi's. 

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Ballance of Beaumont; his wife, Monika Ballance of Beaumont; children, Justin Ballance, Herby Ballance, Alexandra Ballance, Kayla Meinscher, and Courtney Meinscher; sister, Deborah Leonard and her husband, Joe, of Vidor; brothers, Jeffrey of Kountze and Rodney and his wife, Janice, of Spring Branch; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Edgar Ballance, Jr.

A memorial service for Mr. Ballance will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 5, 2014, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
