Louis Jessie McNaughten, 79, of Silsbee, died Thursday, November 27, 2014.  He was born on August 20, 1935, in Milam, to Annie Pearl Gray McNaughten and William Ross McNaughten.

Survivors include is son, Louis Jessie McNaughten, Jr. of Silsbee; daughters, Patricia Williams and her husband, Reverend Jimmy Williams and Deborah McNaughten, all of Silsbee; and Rita Albin and her husband, Eric, of Houston; grandchildren, Ashley Torres and her husband, Alfredo, of Silsbee; Cameron Williams and his wife, Nina, of Vidor; and Heather Williams of Silsbee; and sisters, Florence Wheeler of Buna and Lynda Ruso of Lumberton.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Guy McNaughten; brothers, Johnny McNaughten, William McNaughten, and Thomas McNaughten; and sister, Wilma Ruth Warren.

A gathering of Mr. McNaughten’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 43368 Highway 96 South, Evadale.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Evadale, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee, with interment to follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Hemphill.
