Jewel Pearline Herrington Boyett, 71, of Kountze, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014. She was born on September 12, 1943, in Kountze, to Jewel Pearline Landrum and Thomas A. Herrington.

Survivors include her children, Patricia Mitcham and her husband, Dickie; Shannon Anderson and her husband, Travis; and Tami Simon and her husband, Kevin, all of Kountze; grandchildren, Reagan Barnett and her husband, Trevor, of Sour Lake; Allison Walker and her husband, Justin, of Buna; Philip Simon, of Kountze; Drew Anderson, of Kountze; Adam Anderson, of Kountze; and Kassi Cranfill, of Conroe; great-grandchild, Scarlett Walker, of Buna; siblings, LaQuita Verde and her husband, Sam, of Port Neches; James Herrington Sr. and his wife, Johnnie, of Hardin; Betty Renken and her husband, Slim, of Kountze; Frances Malone and her husband, M.C., of Liberty; Barbara Read and her husband, Bill, of Liberty; numerous nieces and nephews, and close friends, Diana Williams and Freddie Myers.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, A.D. Boyett; and great-grandchild, Harper Faith Barnett.

A gathering of Mrs. Boyett’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 28, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
