Thomas Earl “T. Tom” Choate, 74, of Village Mills, died Saturday, November 22, 2014, in Port Arthur. He was born on August 17, 1940, in Spindletop, to Lillie and David Anze. “T. Tom” was United States Marine Corps veteran having served in Vietnam. He retired from Bethlehem Steel as an electrician.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Choate of Wildwood; children, Thomas Choate and his wife, Christie, of Pasadena; Greg Choate and his wife, Aubyn, and Chris Choate all of Wildwood; and Chuck Choate and his wife, Tammy, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Aaron Choate, Nathan Parigi, Josh Choate, Ashley Choate, Troy Choate, Krystal Choate, Zach Choate, Brandon Choate, Ty Choate, Molly Choate, Jordon Choate, Devon Choate, and Dillon Choate; great-grandchildren, Derek Choate, Ethan Choate, and Colton Choate; sisters, Wanda and Marilyn; brothers, Clarence and Bobby.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son, David Choate.

A gathering of Mr. Choate’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3324 Park Drive, Nederland. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
