Linda Diana Cain, 64, of Thicket, died Friday, November 21, 2014, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Houston. She was born on December 16, 1949, to Alfnell Ruby Rawls and Lester Johnston, in Dayton. She and her husband, Donnie, got married on May 30, 1970.

Survivors include her husband of forty-four years, Donnie Cain; children, John Lester Cain and his wife, Tia and Julie Cain-Stegall, both of Thicket; grandchildren, Kori Cain, Donald Cain, Diana Cain, Shelby Cain, Britni Stegall, and Logan Stegall; sister, Gay Nell Jenkins and her husband, Charles, of Palestine; brother, Lester Earl Johnston of Woodville; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Oscar Jonathan “OJ” “Pappa J” Hicks.

A gathering of Mrs. Cain’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2014, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 1360 Highway 327, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, with her interment to follow at Holly Grove Cemetery in Segno, under the direction of Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
