Michael A. Walker, 64, of Kirbyville, died Friday, November 14, 2014.  He was born on January 24, 1950, in El Dorado, Kansas, to Janice Dennett Walker and Murray Walker.  Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army as a helicopter crew chief in the Vietnam War.  He later worked as a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Marian Walker; children, Jeremy Walker and his wife, Heather, of Beaumont and Mindy Walker of Kansas City, Missouri; and grandchildren, Tessa Walker and Alanna “Sushi” Walker.  He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Janice and Red Johnson.

His memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
