Mary Catherine Dillard, 88, of Houston, died Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Clarewood House, Houston. She was born on May 29, 1926, in Jonesboro, Illinois, to Laura McAnnally Verble and Ottis Verble.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Kay Lynd and her husband, Bernard, of Beaumont; son, Scott Dillard and his wife, Lue, of Houston; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and brothers, David Verble of Sun City West, Arizona and Larry Verble and his wife, Geri, of Las Placitas, New Mexico.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Dillard; son, Doug Dillard; and brother, Ottis Verble.

A gathering of Mrs. Dillard’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
