Evelyn Lee Davis-Will 
August 29, 1935 - November 9, 2014

Evelyn Louise Lee Davis-Will, 79, of Silsbee, died Sunday, November 9, 2014. She was born August 29, 1935, in Nacogdoches, to Ruby and James Edgar Lee. She lived most of her life in the Silsbee area. She was a graduate of Lamar University and licensed as a professional counselor. She retired from the Silsbee and Port Arthur School Districts as a school counselor. She was a Christian and a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church of Silsbee.

Evelyn enjoyed traveling and bragging about her children and family. She loved conversation and never met a stranger. She especially enjoyed traveling abroad, having visited numerous foreign countries in her lifetime. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Silsbee Woman’s Club, Silsbee Lions Club and a friend of the libraries in Silsbee and Kountze. Whether playing bridge with area ladies, sitting on a deer stand or enjoying a bus tour trip with area churches, Evelyn truly loved to be busy and was always on-the-go.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Edgar Lee and Ruby Moore Lee Hughes ; husband, Olan H. Davis;  and brothers James Earl Lee and Charles Norman Lee.

Survivors include her husband, Otis Will of Kountze; sister, Judy Lee and her  husband, Kenneth, of Huntsville; daughter, Diane Davis Barrick and her husband, Wayne, of Gilmer; sons Terry Davis and his wife, Linda, of Longview and Mark Davis of Silsbee; grandchildren, Brian Barrick and his wife, Gabi, of San Antonio; Brad Barrick and his wife, Jessica, of Lubbock; Katie Davis of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Lauren Davis of College Station; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Grace and Noah Barrick of San Antonio and Addison, Emmeline and Lillian Barrick of Lubbock; sisters-in-law, Jo Nell Lee of Shreveport, Louisiana and Paula Lee of Port Neches; stepdaughter, Renee Will-Cain and her husband, Paul, of Kountze; stepson,  Dennis Will of South Riding, Virginia; step-grandchildren, Colt and Mikayla Ambrose of Kountze; numerous nieces and nephews; and dearest friends, Billie Jones, Barbara Barge, Hulda Bertrand, and Susan Cawley.

A gathering of Mrs. Will’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Pinecrest Baptist Church, 5660 FM 1122, Silsbee. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard's, Silsbee.
