Josephine Mary Mattes, 75, of Beaumont, died Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on July 6, 1939, in Far Rockaway, New York, to Josephine Buraczynski Stodolski, and had benne a longtime resident of the area.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Michael W. Mattes of Beaumont; son, Michael R. Mattes and his wife, Rossana, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Christian Rodriguez and Clarissa Mattes; and nieces, Barbara Tutone and her husband, Lovis; Jean Ocepa Attolino; and Denise Rosalina and her husband, Richard.

Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
