Robert Alan “Bob” Sheffield, 68, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born on June 22, 1946, in Beaumont, to Trixie Louise Johnson Sheffield and James Edward Sheffield. Bob served in the United States Navy Reserve and later went on and pursued a career as a roofing salesman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to watch football. Bob was said to be a man of impeccable integrity.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Kathryn Sheffield; daughters, Elizabeth Wenner and her husband, Jerry, of Houston and Joni Grimmer and her husband, Tobin, of Slidell, Louisiana; sons, Robert Sheffield Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of DeRidder, Louisiana; James Sheffield and his wife, Mindi, of Jena, Louisiana; Jason Easterwood and his wife, Christine, of Fort Worth; Steve Easterwood and his wife, Tina, of Grapevine; and Richard Edgeworth and his wife, Joanna, of Lumberton; twenty-three grandchildren, Justin, Casey, Brandon, CJ, Austin, Ross, Mason, Nick, Ashleigh, Jacob, Malin, Isabella, Declan, Taylor, Jevan, Tyler, Isaac, Beau, Ramsay, Brianna, Ethan, Abby, and Connor; one great-grandchild, Leah; sister-in-law, Linda; niece, Michelle; and nephew, Jason.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jack Sheffield Jr.

A gathering of Mr. Sheffield’s family and friends will begin at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
