Eddy Howard Yates, 60, of Beaumont, Texas, died on October 19, 2014. He was born on June 27, 1954, to Lillian and Howard Yates in Overton, Texas.

Eddy was married to the love of his life, his person, Cassy Snowden Yates and a BONUS dad to his BONUS children, Ericka Neves, Dustin Lowe, Madison Neves and Raylea Neves and a BONUS grandfather to Logan Roberts. Eddy loved you all very much.

Eddy worked as a general manager for Clean Harbors for 25 years and thought very highly of Chris Dupuis, Vicky Womack, and Carla Williams and his other team members at Clean Harbors.

Eddy had a very special and loving nature. When you became Eddy's friend, you became family.

Eddy is also survived by his beloved Meme, Linda Huckaby.

Eddy's hobbies were barbecuing and cooking out (remember, you can't beat his brisket or prime rib).  If you went home hungry, it was because you didn't eat. He always cooked way too much.  He thought Amazon Prime was the bomb. He couldn't wait for packages to arrive sometimes twice a day. He also loved his old cars and was so excited when he was surprised with his 1935 Chevy which was delivered on his 60th birthday. Eddy always enjoyed being surrounded by his friends and family. Everyone was always welcome at Eddy's.  He even ran a "house for wayward men". Also, always remember, you have to become one with your banana pudding and you must cook it s-l-o-w-l-y. Everything also had a "secret" ingredient - you will never be able to cook it just like he did unless you were extremely special and he told you.  Always remember, Eddy with a "Y" and Eddyo.

A memorial service for Mr. Yates will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas, followed by a ceremony at the Elks Lodge on Highway 90 in Beaumont, Texas, with a gathering of friends and family immediately following.
