Marion Franklin Kaplan, 97, of Beaumont, died Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born on March 10, 1917, to Sarah Litwin Franklin and Abraham Franklin in Rome, Georgia.

Survivors include her son, Leonard Kaplan and his wife, Eva, of Greenboro, North Carolina; daughter, Phyllis Jean Lawrence and her husband, Eric, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Sandra Heller and her husband, Corey, of Jacksonville, Florida; Dr. Russell Lawrence and his wife, Laura, of South Lake; Alicia Kaplan of Greenboro, North Carolina; and Maia BarAm and her husband, Yaakov, of Baltimore, Maryland; great-grandchildren, Logan Heller, Landon Heller, Mason Lawrence, Tristan Lawrence, Aubrit Lawrence, Avigail BarAm, Lailah BarAm, Chaviva BarAm, Rivka BarAm, Asher BarAm, and Naftali BarAm.

A graveside service for Mrs. Kaplan will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Kol Israel Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont, with Rabbi Joshua Taub officiating, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
