Eugene Wray Cameron, 91, of Nederland, died Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Senior Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Port Arthur. He was born on December 25, 1922, in Wray Chapel, Oklahoma, to Carrie Etna Wray and Eugene Browning Cameron. Eugene was a United States Army veteran and a member of the Nederland Masonic Lodge #1368.

Survivors include his daughters, Jeanie Cameron-Tanuz and her husband, Steve, of Ilfeld, New Mexico and Karen Rich of Nederland; grandchildren, Stacy Esclovon of Nederland and Cory Esclovon of Bridge City; and cousins, Wendall Brown of Hurst, Georgia Wells of Bowie, and Margorie Lancaster of Wichita Falls. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Edith Jane Hoffman Cameron.

A gathering of Mr. Cameron’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 20, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
