Raymond "Red" Edward Davis 
September 26, 1936 - October 9, 2014

Raymond Edward “Red” Davis, 78, of Beaumont, died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at his residence.  Born on September 26, 1936, in Beaumont, Red was the son of Rosalie Tortorice Davis and Arthur Lee Davis.  He served during the Korean Conflict and is a United States Army and Marine Corps Veteran and was a helicopter pilot. A 1955 graduate of Beaumont High School, Red retired from New York Life Insurance after fifty years of service.  He loved to hunt and fish.

 

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Davis of Beaumont; daughter, Shannon McBride and her husband, Mike, of Lakeway; granddaughter, Taylor McBride of Arlington, Virginia; stepson, David Crain and his wife, Regina of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Coy Wilson Crain and Reanna Crain; brothers and sisters-in-law, the Krufts; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of good friends.

 

A gathering of Mr. Davis’ family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, October 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Cremation will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
