Blake Matthiew McCorvy 
March 29, 1990 - October 7, 2014

Blake Matthiew McCorvy, 24, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014.  He was born on March 29, 1990, in Aschaffenburg, Germany, to Shelley Renee Burnaman McCorvy and Michael Duane McCorvy.  Blake worked as a line locator for Paschal Enterprise.

 

Survivors include children, Aiden Krush Zajicek and Acelee Jo Zajicek, both of Granger; fiancée, Kristina Zajicek of Granger; mother, Shelley Stanley and her partner, Bobby Dewees, of San Antonio; father, Michael McCorvy and his wife, Maria, of Spring; brothers, Brayden Stanley, Dillon Jordan, Cody Dewees, Dillon Dewees, and Tyler McCorvy; sister, Lyndi Stanley; grandparents, Robby Burnaman of Lumberton and Harriet Faye and James McCorvy, of Orange; people who were influential in Blake’s life, Randy Kern of Highlands; Greg Stanley “Spanky” of Lumberton; Mike “Scooter” Smith of Tennessee; uncle, Brian Burnaman; and Angie and Gerald Powell, of Corpus Christi; mother-in-law, Tami Urbanek of Granger; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends; and God parents, Sylvia and Jo Mirelez of Abilene. 

 

A gathering of Blake’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Broussard’s with interment at 2:00 p.m. at Blue Spring Cemetery, Etoile, Texas.
