James Doyle Arrington, 69, of Sour Lake, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston.  He was born February 4, 1945, in Beaumont, Texas, and was the son of Bertie Lemora Wallace Arrington and James Fredrick Arrington.  Mr. Arrington was a United States Navy Veteran.

James is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Drusilla Arrington of Sour Lake; daughter, Jamie Arrington and her fiancé, Tony Effertz , of Minnesota; sister, Betty Montoya and her husband, Mervin; brothers, David Arrington and his wife, Mary; Alan Arrington and his wife, Brenda; and Randy Arrington and his wife, Blendia and numerous nieces and  nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Wanda Pickering and Lewella Fenn.

A gathering of Mr. Arrington’s family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7785 Weaver, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m., at Town Bluff Cemetery in Town Bluff.
