Edwin Whisenhunt 
May 31, 1930 - October 7, 2014

Edwin Whisenhunt, 84, of Sour Lake, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 7, 2014.  He was born on May 31, 1930, in Saratoga, to Esther Williford Whisenhunt and Norris Whisenhunt.  Mr. Whisenhunt served his country in the United States Army and later retired from the oil field.

 

Survivors include his children, Tamara Ludecke and her husband, James Bryan, of Buchanan Dam; Thomas Whisenhunt; Teri Radley and her husband, Steven; and Tracye Thibodeaux, all of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Krystal Ludecke; Brandee Aumiller and her husband, Rodney; Bryan Ludecke, Jr.; Aubrey Ludecke; Sayge Billiott; April Revel; Brant Tindol; Logan Porter; Trevor Knox; and Dalton Knox; great-grandchildren, Brookelyn Aumiller, Macie Aumiller, Sonny Revel, Korbin Popp, Harlow Tindol, and Sebastian Tindol; numerous other family members; and good friend, Charlie Whitman. 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, June Lopez Whisenhunt.

 

A gathering of Mr. Whisenhunt’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
