Lloyd Edward Cummins, 77, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born on January 15, 1937, to Alverta Bell Ealy and Edward Hudson Cummins, in West Alexander, Pennsylvania. Lloyd retired after forty-two years of working as a superintendent for a contractor for steel mills. Then following his retirement he worked for Securitas Security Company for six years.

Survivors include his wife, Lauretta Cummins; daughters, Joy Ann Alexander and her husband, Dean, of Loveland, Colorado; Barbara Jean Black and her husband, David, of McKinney, Texas; Bonnie Jo Rudy of Beaumont; and Karen Lee Kuhler and her husband, Kevin, of Amarillo, Texas; sisters, Marjorie Wiley and her husband, Jim, of McMurray, Pennsylvania; and Shirley Bedillion and her husband, Lee, and Theda Jordan, all of West Alexander, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Alexis Foster, Daniel Alexander, April Rudy, Lauren Black, Derek Black, Karli Kuhler; and great-grandchildren, Keira Foster and Grady Foster.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clyde Cummins and Arthur Cummins; and one sister, Marie Cummins.

A gathering of Mr. Cummins’ family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
