Joyce Elaine Pattison was born May 27, 1935, in Mansfield, Ohio, to her beloved parents, Alfred Wright and Macel Mae Wright, now deceased. In 1958, Joyce met and married the love of her life, Bennie C. Pattison. The two were husband and wife until her death on October 1, 2014, with Ben and her dear friend, Jackie Morrow, at her bedside.

Joyce retired from the Beaumont Independent School District in 2000, then from Trinity Day School in 2012.

She had such an outgoing love for people as evidenced by her many, many friends. One of her greatest pleasures was the annual beach trip with her Houston friends, and her many vacation trips with her dear friends, Don, Sybil, Tony, Raynell, Jackie, and Raymond. Joyce never met a stranger and will be missed by so many who loved her.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Ben C. Pattison of Beaumont; son, Lane Wright Pattison and his wife, Kristen; grandson, Colin Christian Pattison of Austin; and brothers, Jack Wright of Vonore, Tennessee and Bill Wright of Santa Barbara, California.  

A gathering of Mrs. Pattison’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
